Award Program Overview
The Distinguished Lecturer Award is funded by the IEEE Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics, and Frequency Control Society, and was first presented in 1980. A certificate and reimbursement for an international lecture tour is awarded to a member of IEEE and UFFC, who is a prominent contributor in the field of Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics, or Frequency Control.
Basis for judging:
- Good speaking style.
- Prominent contributor to topic of lecture. Lecture must be of current interest to IEEE audience.
- Willingness to commit significant time and energy to preparation/travel/lectures.
Each lecturer presents between 20 and 40 lectures all over the world at institutions and places of interest to them and their research. Groups desiring to invite a lecturer should either contact the lecturer directly or contact us.
