About the Role
As a TPC member, you will play a vital role in shaping the technical program of IUS. This includes reviewing abstracts, helping to select invited speakers, chairing sessions, and contributing to various technical activities. Your participation will directly support the symposium's mission of advancing technical excellence and collaboration in ultrasonics and related fields.
Open Positions by Group
We are currently recruiting volunteers for the following TPC groups:
- Group 1 (Medical Ultrasonics): 11 positions
- Group 2 (Sensors, NDE and Industrial Applications): 3 positions
- Group 3 (Physical Acoustics): 5 positions
- Group 4 (SAW, FBAR, MEMS): TBD
- Group 5 (Transducers and Transducer Materials): 6 Positions
Selection Criteria
Essential:
- Prior experience attending, presenting, and/or contributing to international conferences.
- Demonstration of technical knowledge through conference or journal publications.
- A PhD and 3+ years of experience (or equivalent professional experience) in a related field.
- Prior engagement with IEEE International Ultrasonics Symposia (IUS) through attendance and technical participation.
- Membership in IEEE UFFC-S.
Desirable:
- Prior service and engagement in UFFC-S activities.

- Years of Post-PhD or Equivalent Experience
- Preferred TPC Groups (based on technical remit)
- Past/Current Involvement with IUS, UFFC-S, or IEEE

Commitments
By joining the TPC, you commit to:
- Participating in technical program preparation activities, including abstract reviews (April/May annually).
- Promoting the conference and soliciting invited speaker proposals.
- Attending TPC meetings and contributing to discussions.
- Engaging with IUS through conference attendance (online or in person).
