Overview:

The Young Professionals Committee is dedicated to fostering meaningful engagement, networking, and professional development opportunities for early-career professionals within the organization. This committee plays a vital role in planning and implementing programming tailored to the interests and needs of young professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Development: Collaborate with the committee to design and execute Young Professionals-focused programming, including webinars, conference panels, roundtables, and other events.
  • Content Creation: Contribute to the development of engaging content, such as news articles or social media posts, to promote and support Young Professionals initiatives.
  • Event Support: Assist in planning and coordinating events, including identifying topics, speakers, and formats that resonate with Young Professionals.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Young Professionals Chair and the Vice President of Community, Connection, & Diversity to ensure alignment with organizational goals and priorities.
  • Representation: Serve as an advocate for Young Professionals by sharing their feedback, ideas, and needs with the committee and leadership.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates on committee activities to the Young Professionals Chair and the Vice President of Community, Connection, & Diversity.

Qualifications:

  • Early- to mid-career professional with an interest in supporting and connecting with other Young Professionals.
  • Passion for community building, professional development, and diversity initiatives.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to dedicate time to attend meetings, participate in committee activities, and support events.

Appointment Details:

  • Committee members are appointed by the Young Professionals Chair and serve under the leadership of the Chair and the Vice President of Community, Connection, & Diversity.
  • The term of service will be determined by the Chair and may vary based on organizational needs.
