Vice President of Education

The IEEE Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics, and Frequency Control Society (UFFC-JS) is looking for a visionary leader to fill the role of Vice President of Education. As the Chair of the Education Committee, you will play a key role in promoting the Society's educational initiatives and programs across its three technical areas, ensuring that UFFC-S continues to provide valuable learning opportunities for its members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Chair the Education Committee: Lead a team of at least six appointed members, including representation from each of the Society’s three technical areas, as well as the Chairs of the Seasonal Schools and History Committees.
• Educational Programs: Actively promote UFFC-S through educational programs, webinars, and high-quality tutorial or review papers for IEEE T-UFFC and UFFC-S symposia.
• Seasonal Schools: Organize and oversee three Seasonal Schools each year, one per technical area, to further enhance members' knowledge and expertise.
• Website Management: Maintain and update the Education section of the UFFC-S website, ensuring that it remains a current and valuable resource for members.
• Collaboration & Oversight: Interface with external organizations, establish educational programs, and present plans for all Committee activities involving UFFC-S to AdCom for approval prior to execution.

• Strong leadership and organizational skills, with experience in managing educational programs or initiatives.
• Passion for advancing learning and knowledge dissemination within the UFFC-S community.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams across the Society's technical areas.
