To recognize the sustained, dedicated service by an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics, and Frequency Control.
$200 and Certificate to each recipient. Annual. No more than 3 awards will be given each year.
Funded by the IEEE Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics, and Frequency Control Society.
Presented aperiodically at one of the UFFC-S sponsored symposia (i.e., IEEE Ultrasonics Symposium, IEEE Symposium on Application of Ferroelectrics, or IEEE Frequency Control Symposium). The choice of symposium for presentation will be determined by the UFFC-S Awards Chair in agreement with the recipient.
Established in 2023.
Selection will be based upon multiple criteria, including the number of manuscripts handled, timeliness in turnaround time, evidence of active engagement (e.g. leading special issues for the journal), and evidence of editorial quality (e.g., making fair editorial remarks).
Current Associate Editors of the IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics, and Frequency Control who have continuously served for at least 3 years are automatically eligible. Retired Associate Editors are not eligible. An awardee is required to be a member of IEEE and UFFC.
