Quartz Crystal Growing

Here we have yet another video from the old AT&T archives. This one goes into a little more scientific detail on the process for growing synthetic (cultured) quartz crystals. I have been researching the synthesis of quartz and other minerals for nearly ten years. This particular video has only recently been uncovered in my studies. It is interesting to note that the crystals you see being produced in this video, cost well over $1000ea (in 1960's dollars) when they were first made available.
