UFFC Announces Two Outreach Initiative Symposiums!
The IEEE Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics, and Frequency Control Society (UFFC-S) is pleased to announce two outreach initiative symposiums aimed at reaching out to new and underserved communities.
The IEEE South Asian Ultrasonics Symposium will be held in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India from 27-29 March 2024. This symposium will provide a similar forum for researchers and engineers from South Asia and around the world.
The IEEE UFFC Latin America Ultrasonics Symposium will be held in Montevideo, Uruguay from 8-10 May 2024. This symposium will provide a forum for researchers and engineers from Latin America and around the world to share their latest work in ultrasonics.
Both symposiums will feature a variety of invited and contributed talks, as well as poster sessions and social events. We encourage all interested parties to attend and learn more about the latest advances in ultrasonics.
2024 IEEE UFFC Latin America Ultrasonics Symposium
8-10 May 2024 | MONTEVIDEO, URUGUAY
As in its first edition, the second IEEE Latin America Ultrasonics Symposium (LAUS 2024) aims to reinforce existing networks and promote emerging opportunities to the ultrasonics and acoustics community in Latin America (LATAM) in connection with the rest of the world.
LAUS 2024 warmly welcomes researchers from across the globe, providing a genuine opportunity to showcase their work, establish scientific connections, and gain insight into the research conducted in LATAM, as well as its regional and international collaborations. This conference will offer a hybrid option, allowing remote access for participants who cannot attend in person.
Abstracts should be submitted according to the guidelines available on the conference website. Each abstract will receive careful review and evaluation by the symposium Technical Program Committee. Accepted abstracts describing novel research will be eligible to submit a full paper to be published in IEEE Xplore.

IEEE South Asian Ultrasonics Symposium

IEEE Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics, and Frequency Control Society (UFFC-S) invites participation in the first IEEE South Asian Ultrasonics Symposium (SAUS), which will be held from the 27-29 March 2024 at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India. The IEEE SAUS will be a hybrid event that will include a scientific program consisting of plenary talks, special sessions, networking sessions, and oral and poster presentations of peer-reviewed papers. Pre-symposium tutorials including “From acoustic field equations to imaging and full-waveform inversion” (Instructor: Prof. Koen van Dongen, TU Delft, The Netherlands), will be conducted from 25-26 March 2024.
