Student Paper Competition and UFFC ePoster Competition Winners at IUS 2020
IUS Student Paper Competition
The 20th Student Paper Competition was held during the 2020 IEEE International Ultrasonics Symposium which was a virtual-only event. The award consists of a certificate and represents a prestigious recognition of the student’s achievement. Abstracts submitted by students for the Student Paper Competition were reviewed by the Technical Program Committee (TPC) members. Based on this review, 18 student finalists were selected (6 from Medical Ultrasound and 3 from each of the remaining technical groups: Sensors, NDE & Industrial Applications; Physical Acoustics; Microacoustics-SAW, BAW, MEMS; and Transducers & Transducer Materials).
Student finalists were then evaluated during online poster sessions by a panel of judges (representing the papers’ technical group). Six winners were announced during the closing awards ceremony on September 11th, 2020.

The UFFC ePoster Competition
The UFFC ePoster Competition was held during the symposium which is a first for IEEE IUS. Awards emphasize the rich content and innovative use of multimedia in ePosters. Winners were announced during the closing ceremony on September 11th, 2020.
