Effective January 31, 2013, Marjorie Passini Yuhas will be stepping down as Editor in Chief (EIC) for the Transactions (T-UFFC). EIC-Elect Steven Freear will assume the position of EIC for T-UFFC effective February 1. Marj has served as EIC since January 1, 2008, her dedication and selfless devotion to the T-UFFC significantly contributing to the publication in many ways. Prior to becoming EIC, she assisted with the transition from manual paper processing to Manuscript Central. As EIC, Marj has enhanced publication timeliness and overseen growth of the Transactions from approximately 2500 to about 3000 pages per year. She has also implemented systematic plagiarism checking, along with numerous metrics that are useful in monitoring performance of Associate Editors, publication timeliness, and other useful factors. Finally, Marj prepared for and presented the most recent T-UFFC Society Review, which received exemplary ratings from IEEE and was cited to other Societies as including "best practices" for Society Transactions. We thank Marj for a job well done, and wish Steven the best in his new role as EIC.
