Industrial Engagement Leadership Development Workshop Series Registration Open

Dear UFFC-S members,
 
The IEEE UFFC-S Industry Engagement Committee invites you to participate in the leadership development workshop series by Nancy Schumann, CEO and Chief Coach for Authentic Leadership Strategies. In this workshop, you will gain insights, practice communication skills, and receive feedback regarding communicating and building your impact & presence as a technical leader. This interactive workshop is focused on those currently engaged in industry and is open to all UFFC-S members.

The workshop series will take place via zoom on Thursday, 18 November and 2 December from 10:00 to 11:30 AM EST. This is a two-part workshop on two different days, by registering for this workshop, you are committing to attending both of the sessions. 
 
Session I: Communication & Connection for Technical Leaders
Thursday, 18 November | 10:00-11:30 AM EST

What does it mean to communicate and connect as a technical leader? This session will share a framework for communication, explore how leaders communicate to connect and inspire, as well as provide the opportunity to reflect and examine your communication practices.
 
Session II: Building Your Impact and Presence as a Technical Leader
Thursday, 2 December | 10:00-11:30 AM EST

How do we present ourselves as technical leaders? How do we know we have an impact? This session will examine success factors for leaders and the building blocks of personal brand. We will see how our values allow us to differentiate ourselves and make an impact as leaders. 
 
Attendance to this workshop is free of charge and entry is limited to the first 30 attendees. Industry members will be prioritized. Please fill out the registration form to reserve your spot.

Author Bio
Nancy Schumann is the CEO and Chief Coach for Authentic Leadership Strategies, LLC. As a performance and inspiration specialist, she provides coaching to senior executives and individuals who want to achieve breakthrough results in their professional and personal lives. She has 20+ years of multi-functional experience, the most recent of which is 15 years working in leadership development across all levels of organizations in the U.S. and globally.
Nancy is a proven facilitator and coach with broad, deep experience in program management, leadership development, retention strategies, and talent management. She is a specialist working with business integration and partnership approaches to develop, advance, and retain top talent across diverse business units and functions including Technology/Manufacturing, Sales/Marketing, and HR/Finance. She has done extensive work with multi-cultural workforce employees and routinely assists senior executives in developing strategies that align company goals with employee priorities.

She designed, curated, and led multiple leadership development courses as part of GE’s renowned Crotonville Leadership Curriculum. Additionally, she created and delivered GE’s premier Women’s Leadership Development course focused on releasing the individual’s authentic leadership potential, accelerating their progression, and positively impacting retention rate. This leadership program was delivered to 3000+ women in over 30 countries, across six continents in conjunction with providing consulting and partnership services to business units including Fortune 100 entities.

Nancy holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. She is a GE certified Change Acceleration Process Coach and has taught at GE’s Crotonville Leadership Development Institute. Nancy is Six Sigma trained, Green Belt Certified, and has designed and adapted training seminars and workshops to global audiences. Her work has included engagements in the U.S., Europe, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Canada, Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, China, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, India, UAE, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia.
