Demonstration Show event at IUS 2023

On Thursday, September 7, 2023, from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time), room 515 at the 2023 International Ultrasonics Symposium witnessed a remarkable event - The Demonstration Show. This session served as a dynamic platform for companies and startups to spotlight their cutting-edge products and engage with potential customers and partners. 

At this event, each participating company was allocated a dedicated table equipped with monitors and outlets, ensuring a seamless presentation of their offerings. Visitors to the Demo Show event had the opportunity to freely explore and interact with the products on display. To make the experience even more enjoyable, lunch boxes were provided for all presenters, and a selection of drinks and snacks were available for the convenience of our visitors. 

To infuse a sense of excitement and engagement, we organized a game that offered attendees the chance to win random draw prizes. Participants answered a set of questions designed to reveal details about the participating companies and their innovative products. Correct answers earned points, with the chance to win a $70 e-gift card. Congratulations to the four lucky winners: Eric Dew from the University of Alberta, Davindra Singh from Concordia University, Paul Glemain from CEA Ensam Paris, and Christoph Haugwitz from Technische Universitat Darmstadt.

In total, eight companies took the stage to present their groundbreaking products, including Verasonics, Broadsound Corporation, Deep Breathe, us4us Ltd., Novosound Ltd, Ursus Medical Designs LLC, Quanscient, and Innovia Materials Co., Ltd. The event attracted around 50 enthusiastic visitors.

The Demonstration Show received glowing feedback from both participating companies and attendees. In a post-event survey, all respondents expressed their desire to see similar events at future IUS conferences. One participant remarked, "It was well organized and very fruitful for us. We received 5-6 very good leads for our product.
