Ceremony for the placement of the IEEE Milestone in honor of Walter Guyton Cady

An IEEE Milestone in honor of Walter Guyton Cady was approved by the IEEE Board of Governors on 6 December 2019. The Milestone is entitled: “Piezoelectric Quartz Oscillator, 1921-1923. The plaque will be placed at Wesleyan University, Middletown, CT where Cady did his research. Originally, a dedication ceremony was planned for October 2020. However because of the Covid 19 pandemic, it is necessary to hold a virtual ceremony using Zoom instead. The virtual ceremony will occur in November 2020. All UFFC Society members will be invited to attend.
