  • For each assigned manuscript, conduct a prescreening exercise, recruit peer reviewers (if applicable), make editorial recommendations, and draft editorial remarks
  • Maintain active status as a T-UFFC reviewer and support the editorial work of other Associate Editors by serving as a dependable reviewer on their assigned manuscripts whenever help is solicited
  • Participate in and/or lead spotlight issues and other initiatives of interest for T-UFFC

Selection Criteria
Candidates will be reviewed by a committee comprising the T-UFFC Editor-in-Chief, VP Publications of the UFFC Society, and experienced Associate Editors. Selection will be done based on multiple criteria, including the candidate’s track record of contributions to T-UFFC (number of manuscripts reviewed, turnaround time, etc.), evidence of peer review quality, and the candidate’s demonstrated commitment to serving T-UFFC.

Appointment Process
With the recommendation of the selection committee, the Editor-in-Chief will contact shortlisted candidates and arrange an initial meeting with them in January 2025 to provide detailed information on the responsibilities, expectations, and guidelines of T-UFFC editorial work. Upon establishing mutual consensus on the service expectations, a formal appointment letter will be issued. T-UFFC Associate Editor appointments are renewable once for a second term of no longer than 3 years.
