Welcome to the New UFFC-S Website

An ad hoc committee was established at the UFFC-S AdCom meeting in May 2016.  It was charged with making recommendations for a new UFFC-S website.  John Vig (VP for Publications) requested a group headed by Anil Roy (Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Technology, Gujarat, India) to develop a website.  With the collaboration of John, Lori Bridal (Newsletter Editor-in-Chief), and Sidney Lang (Web Editor-in-Chief), a new website, based on the open source software, WordPress, was developed. It was officially opened in February 2017.

One of the major changes in the new website is the menu structure.  Drop-down menus or mega-menus are used.  The Home menu contains calendars, information on major UFFC activities, and a description of the UFFC-S as a whole. The Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics, Frequency Control, and Publications menus contain information relevant to each of those areas.  The Membership menu includes information on the membership grades, member benefits, volunteer opportunities, and more.  Our leadership, governing documents, history, and special information for AdCom members are in the About Us menu.  A link to a form for user feedback can be found at the bottom of the Home menu or at the bottom of any page.
