Journal Scope
The IEEE Open Journal of Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics, and Frequency Control covers theory, technology, materials, and applications relating to the generation, transmission, and detection of ultrasonic waves and related phenomena; medical ultrasound, and associated technologies; ferroelectric, piezoelectric, and piezomagnetic materials; frequency generation and control, timing, and time coordination and distribution. This interest ranges from fundamental studies to the design and/or applications of devices, sensors, systems, and manufacturing technologies within the general scope defined above.

OJ-UFFC will draw on the expert technical community to continue IEEE’s commitment to publishing the most highly-cited content. The editor-in-chief is the distinguished Ömer Oralkan, North Carolina State University. Our goal is to publish quickly—the rapid peer review process is targeting a publication time frame of 10 weeks for most accepted papers. The articles in this journal are peer-reviewed in accordance with the requirements set forth in the IEEE Publication Services and Products Board Operations Manual. Each published article was reviewed by a minimum of two independent reviewers using a single-blind peer-review process, where the identities of the reviewers are not known to the authors, but the reviewers know the identities of the authors. Articles will be screened for plagiarism before acceptance.
