Madeleine Hertel is a Ph.D. student at Siemens Healthineers and affiliated with the Otto-von-Guericke-Universtity in Magdeburg, Germany. Her research includes the investigation of diagnostic breast imaging, i.e. the compression behavior of breasts during mammographic imaging. As a Student Representative of the UFFC society, our goal is to support and strengthen the student community within ultrasonics and the related disciplines. With dedicated student events and networking activities between students and professionals, we hope to encourage students to participate more actively and help create great opportunities for their future careers.
