Dr. Laura Popa is Senior Scientist with Exponent, where she consults on a broad set of technical areas. Laura received a PhD in Physics from MIT in 2015 where she conducted work in design and fabrication of novel piezoelectric MEMS resonators for wireless communications. After graduation and prior to joining Exponent, Laura took on a MEMS Design Engineer position at Analog Devices, working on developing the next generation inertial sensors from concept through commercialization. Laura's involvement in UFFC includes serving on the IFCS TPC (Group 4 Chair), as the Women-in-Engineering chair for IFCS (2019-2021), Diversity-and-Inclusion member and Elected Adcom member (2021-2023). She is currently the vice-chair for the Frequency Control Standing Committee.
