Research Scientist, Research Assistant, or Research Associate Professor

A joint research position is available in the ultrasound laboratories of Professors Paul Dayton and Gianmarco Pinton at UNC Chapel Hill, with the rank of either research scientist or research assistant/associate professor. This position will support research in ultrasound imaging and targeted therapeutics techniques. Prior expertise in acoustics is a requirement, with experience working with Verasonics or other programmable ultrasound systems preferred. Applicants to this senior research position are expected to have a track record of demonstrated academic scholarship including publications, funding, and mentoring students. Candidates will be expected to support part of their salary from grants after an initial period. The successful candidate for this position will lead several projects, mentor students, write grants and papers, and contribute to the overall success of the team as a senior member. The start date is flexible.
