In accordance with the IEEE Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics, and Frequency Control Society (UFFC-S) Bylaws, the Volunteer Committee invites self-nominations for the position of Vice President Publications & Publicity.
Position Description
The Vice President (Publications & Publicity) is a voting AdCom member and Chair of the Publications Committee, overseeing all UFFC-S publications (Transactions, Open Journal, Newsletter, Symposia Proceedings, Digital Archive, Website).
Responsibilities include:
• Strategic leadership for publications policy, quality, and contracts (excluding symposia proceedings).
• Liaison with IEEE PSPB and external vendors.
• Ensuring the UFFC-S website remains current.

Strong candidates are encouraged to have:
• At least 5 years of experience in scholarly publishing, editorial leadership, or technical management for archival-quality journals or equivalent.
• Demonstrate a record of significant technical achievement and recent management experience.
Candidates must be a member in good standing of IEEE and UFFC-S at the time of nomination and throughout the term.
Term
The term of the Officers appointed by the President shall be one year, with reappointment to multiple terms allowed. Appointed Officers shall serve at the discretion of the President.
Time Commitment:
Estimated 3-4 hours per week on average, including regular participation in online AdCom and ExCom meetings as well as attendance at the annual AdCom meeting (typically held in conjunction with major UFFC-S symposia) and participation in the yearly Panel of Editors Meeting.
