The IEEE UFFC-S is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to serve as the Advisor to the Student Representative Committee. This role offers a unique opportunity to mentor and guide the next generation of leaders in the UFFC-S community, empowering student representatives to shape the future of the society.
As the Advisor, you will work closely with three Junior and three Senior Student Representatives to provide support, guidance, and coordination as they engage in a variety of activities. Your primary focus will be on helping students organize and facilitate impactful student programming at the Society’s flagship conferences, publicizing the UFFC-S to a wider student audience, and fostering student involvement in UFFC-S activities and initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Mentoring the Student Representatives, ensuring they have the tools and guidance to succeed in their roles.
- Supporting the organization of student events and programming at UFFC-S conferences and symposia.
- Encouraging student outreach through the Society’s website, social media, and other online platforms.
- Ensuring that the student sections of the UFFC-S website remain up-to-date with relevant information.
- Assisting the Student Representatives in reporting their activities at AdCom meetings, including preparing both oral and written reports.
The Advisor will also collaborate with the Vice President of Community, Connection, & Diversity and the Community, Connection, & Diversity Committee to ensure a strong student presence and influence within UFFC-S.
