I’ve been affiliated to Space-Time Standards Laboratory (STSL) in National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT), Japan for fifteen years. STSL is responsible for Japan Standard Time and I’m currently a director of the laboratory. My research interest spreads over various fields of time and frequency metrology, including optical clocks, miniature microwave clocks, time scales, remote time and frequency comparisons, and etc. After the graduation of Ph. D course in Japan, I once did a postdoctoral fellow in Japan, and the second one in JILA (CU & NIST), Colorado, USA. Then I was back to Japan and obtained a permanent position in NICT. It would be a pleasure if such an experience may help young talents to build their carriers.
