Peter A. Lewin, M.Sc., Ph.D. is R.B. Beard Distinguished University Professor and Director of the Ultrasound Research and Education Center in The School of Bioengineering, Science and Health Systems at Drexel University. He has extensive experience in the field of ultrasonics; his research activities are currently focused on theragnostic applications of ultrasound and development of specialty transducers for healing of chronic wounds. He is Life Fellow of IEEE, the Acoustical Society of America, the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering, the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, the International Academy for Medical and Biomedical Engineering and the College of Physicians.
