Mingxi Wan has been in Xi'an Jiaotong University and become professor in 1992. He successively served as chairman of Department of Biomedical Engineering (1994-2006), Dean of School of Life Science and Technology (2000-2010) and director of Institute of Biomedical Engineering and Instrumentation, now it is called Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Applications with 18 faculty members and 80 graduate students (since 1998). He is General Co-Chair of IUS 2021. His current main research fields include (1) ultrasound microbubble, cavitation and their imaging and treatment applications, (2) transcranial ultrasound theranostics, et al. He wrote the textbooks of biomedical ultrasound and has been teaching the courses.
