Gisele Bennett earned her Ph.D. degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) in electrical engineering with a certificate in management of technology. She is the cofounder of MEPSS LLC, Indian Harbour Beach, Florida, 32937, USA, and is an adjunct faculty at Georgia Tech, Atlanta, Georgia, 30332, USA. She is a fellow with The Optical Society and the International Society for Optics and Photonics. She has held the Glenn Robinson Chair in Electro-Optics and was the associate vice president for research and a Regents researcher at Georgia Tech. She was the president of the IEEE Council on Radio-Frequency Identification from 2016 to 2019 and has chaired various IEEE conferences and workshops on radio-frequency identification, the Internet of Things, and digital twins. She is a Senior Member of IEEE.
