Astri Bjørnetun Haugen is an Associate Professor at Department of Energy Conversion and Storage at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). She is originally from Norway, but has lived in Copenhagen, Denmark since 2014, and has research and education experience also from Scotland, USA and France. She graduated in 2014 with a PhD in Materials Science from the Norwegian University of Science of Technology on textured lead-free piezoelectrics. Her current research interests are lead-free piezoelectric ceramics, oxygen membranes, texture and microstructure control in ceramics. She is a 2021 Villum Young Investigator and coordinator of the activities on Electromechanical Conversion at DTU.
