UFFC Members Zhen Xu and Hong Chen Named Finalists for the 2026 Sony Women in Technology Award with Nature
IEEE UFFC is proud to celebrate two distinguished Society members—Dr. Zhen Xu and Dr. Hong Chen—who have been selected as Finalists for the 2026 Sony Women in Technology Award with Nature.
The Sony Women in Technology Award recognizes exceptional early- to mid-career women researchers whose work in science, engineering, and mathematics is advancing technology and generating meaningful societal impact. This year, eight global finalists were chosen for their groundbreaking contributions across deep-tech, biomedical innovation, and other high-impact disciplines.
Dr. Xu and Dr. Chen’s selection highlights the strength and influence of UFFC researchers contributing to transformative developments within ultrasonics and related fields.
The 2026 award winners will be announced in February 2026, with three honorees each receiving US $250,000 in research funding to further advance their work.
