UFFC France Chapter Cocktail at JS in Taipei

Event in Taipei :
The French chapter of the UFFC invited all French attendees to a networking cocktail at the Grand Hilai Hotel in Taipei after the UFFC-JS technical sessions on Wednesday, the 25th of September. It was a unique chance to celebrate the Chapter’s founding after approval from the IEEE UFFC-S early this year.
The event was very kindly sponsored by Vermon and planning was supported by the UFFC-S. Members of the chapter, Omar Elmazria, and Lori Bridal, welcomed more than 30 attendees to the reception. The diversity and strength of UFFC fields in France were visible, with attendees from laboratories, government agencies, and several major companies situated throughout France.
A presentation given by Omar Elmazria retraced the recent origins of the French UFFC Chapter. The strong contribution of French participants in UFFC-JS 2024 was underlined. They are 4th in terms of abstract submissions and strongly present in both the Technical Program Committees (ISAF, IFCS, and IUS) and the Administrative Committee of the UFFC-S. There is clearly a strong basis from which to pursue our common goal of strengthening fruitful interactions and visibility both in France and beyond. The highly active members of the UFFC community present were informed about the opportunities that the Chapter can provide to participate in and communicate about technical UFFC-related events across France, share offers of employment, and co-organize events with other Chapters and professional organizations. All were invited to interact with the Chapter by either adhering to the Society or by signing up to participate in the next technical meeting that will be held on the 4th of December in Paris
