Simon Fraser Student Branch Chapter Event

On July 19, 2024, the Student Branch Chapter of the UFFC-Society at Simon Fraser University (SFU), Burnaby, Canada, held an event entitled "From Academic Research to Industrial Development and Career".  The event featured an invited presentation by Dr. Maryam Bari, a senior development scientist from Solaires Enterprises Inc. (“Solaires”, BC, Canada). Dr. Bari shared her own experience in the transformation from academic research to industrial development, and provided valued advice on successful industrial career development. Her insights were highly appreciated by both students and professionals in the attendance. Dr. Bari's talk was followed by a lunch social.

The event was hosted by Tara Nazari, President of the Chapter, and attended by the student members and guests. It provided a valuable networking opportunity for the local the IEEE UFFC community.
