IEEE IUS 2021 Update
The IEEE International Ultrasonics Symposium (IUS 2021) will be held as a Virtual Symposium between September 11-16, 2021. Initially, IUS 2021 was to be held in Xi’an, China but the Covid-19 pandemic necessitated the move to a virtual conference. The organizing committee is working diligently to create a virtual experience that will be rewarding for both presenters and attendees. The technical program is now taking shape with more than 1400 abstracts submitted and under review. The plenary speaker is Dr. Katherine W. Ferrara, Professor of Radiology at Stanford University, School of Medicine. There will be 28 invited speakers including 3 clinical talks and 2 special sessions. 15 short courses are scheduled over the first two days of the conference (September 11 - 12). Additional events include Student Paper Competition, two industry panels (“Industry Leadership” and “From University Lab to Industry Mass Production”), the Women in Engineering event “She Leads@IUS” and several student-oriented activities (“Student Social”, “Student-Professional Networking”, “Student Pitch Competition” and “Meet the UFFC student Reps”). Please visit the IEEE IUS 2021 conference website for additional details, technical program updates and registration information.
