Call for IFCS 2025 and 2026 Organization and Location Proposals

The  International Frequency Control Symposium (IFCS) is an international conference and exhibition organized and sponsored by the IEEE Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics, and Frequency Control (UFFC) Society, providing information on recent advances and trends of scientific research and industrial development in the fields of Time and Frequency. Every other year IFCS is held jointly with the European Frequency and Time Forum EFTF. Consequently, 2025 will be a joint conference and 2026 will be IFCS only.

The upcoming IFCS conference locations are:

  • The IFCS 2024 (joint UFFC Symposia): Taipei (Taiwan)
  • The IFCS-EFTF 2025: Americas (bid)
  • The IFCS 2026 (bid)

The Frequency Control Standing Committee of the UFFC Society welcomes research groups to bid for the organization of IFCS in 2025 or 2026.

  • The proposal consists of a written document and a short presentation.
  • Please keep the proposal document below 10 pages including supplemental materials.
  • The proposal document submission due date is Thursday, 31 August 2023 Friday, 15 September 2023.

Please prepare for an approximate 10-minute overview presentation at the upcoming Frequency Control Standing Committee meeting which will be held online in September 2023 (date TBD). 

Basic items expected in the proposal:

  • Host country
  • General Chair name
  • Other volunteers who have agreed to support the organization of IFCS
  • Venue city (give the details of the city)
  • Possible venues (e.g. University/Hotel/Conference Centre) Preferred dates (note IFCS traditionally takes place in spring)
  • Potential for sufficient accommodation
  • Potential transportation suggestion: flight time, airport, connection airport, train, bus, taxi to the venue
  • Potential partner conferences
  • Potential sponsorship and exhibitors
  • Draft budget (target number of delegates and registration fee)
  •  Local Conference Management Service (only if required by the municipality bidding)
