Newsletter Editor for Ultrasonics: Erdal Oruklu
Erdal Oruklu is an associate professor at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, USA. He is the current Vice-Chair of the Sensors, NDE and Applications Group (Group 2) within the Technical Program Committee for the IEEE International Ultrasonics Symposium (IUS). He has also served as the secretary for the Ultrasonics Standing Committee (UltraCom), local Chair for IUS 2014 and Web & Publicity Chair for IUS 2017. His research interests are signal processing, reconfigurable hardware and embedded system design for NDE and structural health monitoring applications.
Newsletter Editor for Ferroelectrics: Marco Deluca
Marco Deluca is a Key Researcher at the Materials Center Leoben Forschung GmbH, and a Lecturer at the Montanuniversität Leoben in Austria. He received his Ph.D. in Materials Science in 2009 from the Kyoto Institute of Technology in Japan and his Habilitation in 2016 at the Montanuniversität Leoben. His research interests are in the structure-property relationships of ferroelectric and relaxor ceramics for sensor, actuator, energy harvesting and energy storage applications.
Newsletter Editor Frequency Control: Sheng-Shian Li
Sheng-Shian Li is a Professor in the Institute of NanoEngineering and MicroSystems (iNEMS) at the National Tsing Hua University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, where he also serves as director of iNEMS since 2018. His research interests focus on nano/microelectromechanical systems, integrated resonators and sensors, RF MEMS, CMOS-MEMS technology, front-end communication architectures, and integrated circuit design and technology. He served as the local organizing committee Chair for the 2014 IEEE International Frequency Control Symposium (IFCS) and TPC Vice-Chair for Group 1 in the 2016 IFCS, respectively.
Newsletter Editor-in-Chief: Lori Bridal
Lori Bridal is a Research Director in the French National Scientific Research Center (CNRS) working in the Laboratory of Biomedical Imaging at the Sorbonne Université in Paris, France. Her research develops ultrasound-based techniques to evaluate tumor microstructure and function, and she works to integrate image-based information into the therapeutic decision-making process. She is outgoing Vice-Chair of the Medical Ultrasonics Technical Program Committee group for the International Ultrasonics Symposium in 2018.
