Founder and Executive Director of She Speaks Science

Speaker Bio:
Dr. Ghina M. Halabi is an astrophysicist and social entrepreneur. Her work now lies at the intersection of science, entrepreneurship and education. She runs entrepreneurship development programs at Cambridge Judge Business School to help scientists commercialize their research. Independently, she consults for businesses to bring space science into high-end technology and coaches on innovation storytelling through workshops and executive training. She is the first person to gain a PhD in astrophysics from a Lebanese university, and she is a strong advocate for science communication. In 2018, she founded She Speaks Science, a multilingual enterprise to promote STEM and women in STEM, and is a mentor on the United Nations Space for Women Network.
Ghina is a public speaker at international conferences and global forums including UN Women, UNOOSA and TEDx and is frequently featured in mainstream media including the BBC.
