Robert Rohling (M’00–SM’10) received the B.A.Sc. degree in engineering physics from The University of British Columbia (UBC), Vancouver, BC, Canada, the M.Eng. degree in biomedical engineering from McGill University, Montreal, QC, Canada, and the Ph.D. degree in information engineering from the University of Cambridge, Cambridge, U.K.,He is currently a Professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Department of Mechanical Engineering, UBC. He is also the Director of the Institute for Computing, Information and Cognitive Systems, Vancouver. His research interests are interventional and point-of-care ultrasound with specialization in elastography and beamforming.
