I am a Senior Lecturer / Associate Professor in the Centre for Medical and Industrial Ultrasonics, joining the James Watt School of Engineering at the University of Glasgow in 2020. I was awarded my Ph.D. from the University of Glasgow in 2014, where I investigated the integration of shape memory materials into ultrasonic devices.

I then led postdoctoral research into sub-sea ultrasonic exploration technology, studying the influence of ultrasonics on different sub-sea geological materials. I joined the Department of Physics at the University of Warwick in 2016 as Research Fellow in the Centre for Industrial Ultrasonics.

My research during this period focused on high-frequency flexural ultrasonic transducers for operation in a range of liquid and gas measurement environments at elevated levels of pressure and temperature. I am an Honorary Lecturer in the Department of Electronic & Electrical Engineering at the University of Strathclyde and an Honorary Research Fellow in the Department of Physics at the University of Warwick.

I am a Chartered Engineer and Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Senior Member of the IEEE, and a Board Member of the Ultrasonics Industry Association.
