Description

The IEEE UFFC Student Branch Chapter at the University of Houston (UH) was formed on 12 September 2014. The Chapter Advisor is Dr. Gangbing Song. The membership currently includes 13 graduate students. Related research and other activities are sponsored by the IEEE UFFC and the Smart Materials and Structures Laboratory (SMSL). The research scope in the UFFC at the UH Student Branch Chapter includes, but is not limited to: smart materials, controls, wave modeling, advanced sensing technologies, structural health monitoring, communication, and their applications in energy industries. Activities of the chapter include laboratory tours, symposia, seminars and group meetings. We also have outdoor activities.
