On Sunday 23 January 2022, the UFFC-S Professional Networking and Mentorship Committee welcomed 20 participants to the second UFFC-S mentoring workshop of the second session.

Workshop host, Dr. Ghina Halabi – astrophysicist and Founder of She Speaks Science – shared the power of storytelling to inform and persuade audiences, at every stage of a career, in academia and industry. ‘Cutting through the Fog: Using Storytelling to Communicate with Clarity and Confidence’ challenged participants to re-think how to discuss science, weaving a narrative into varying forms of writing including student grants, abstracts, and conference presentations.

Join us for the third workshop on 27 February 2022 (10:00 – 11:30 AM EST (UTC -5:00)), when we meet Vinay Roy, Chief Product Officer at Vista Global, to discuss ‘Framing a business problem as a Machine Learning problem’ and ‘Growth hacking your career’. We look forward to seeing you there! Click here for more information.
