Norman Ramsey

Norman Ramsey, who shared the 1989 Physics Nobel Prize, is best known for his development of the separated oscillatory field method of measurement and the atomic hydrogen maser.  In 1984, he was awarded IEEE’s highest honor, the IEEE Medal of Honor.
